Fleurien Dingemans graduated in Art History at the University of Amsterdam. After her graduation in 1998 she started working as an art consultant. During this time she developed valuable relationships with leading Dutch and international artists and artgalleries. In 2002 Fleurien began working for VFD Architects where she became responsible for acquiring the antique and modern art collections of the Holland-America Line. With a budget of 30 million euros she created a unique collection of both modern and contemporary art on board ms Zuiderdam, ms Oosterdam and ms Westerdam. For this purpose she acquired art and artefacts from all parts of the world, and developed an innovative approach to the use of art in the interiors onboard.
Roy van Binsbergen graduated in architecture at Delft University of Technology. He has worked in China, Japan, Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland and the Netherlands. In 1990 he started working on the interiors of large cruise vessels and got specialised in integrating modern and antique art collections with the other elements of ship interiors. This presents several challenges, for instance placing a 2000 year-old clay figure in a ship tumbling on the ocean. In '97 Roy founded RVB-Architecten in Hilversum, (the Netherlands) responsible for several non-navel projects in Holland and abroad. Today he is one of the very few architects in the world specialised in combining precious artworks with a maritime environment. He advised several ship-owners and is involved in the interior design of a number of luxury yachts.
